The NESA Center hosts a variety of shorter events in Washington as well as in the NESA Region. These events are designed for a broad audience including lawmakers, medical personnel, embassy personnel, and more.

Washington Day Seminar Series

NESA hosts a lecture series designed to provide local embassy officials a forum for candid, substantive, and ongoing dialogue on pressing issues of a strategic nature related to national and regional security.

Health Security Workshop Series

These workshops bring together NESA region officials, practitioners, and USG personnel, both military and non-military, to discuss the strategic relationship between human health and national security.

Afghan Election Planning Workshop Series

NESA will host four workshops supporting planning for the Afghan 2009 and 2010 elections.

CT Laws Working Group

The Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies, in partnership with the Inter-University Center for Legal Studies at the International Law Institute, will facilitate a two day workshop and follow-on edited volume focusing on the national and international legal environment to combat transnational threats such as terrorism and organized crime in the NESA region.

Regional Network of Strategic Studies Centers

The RNSSC brings together government-affiliated institutes from countries in the Near East and South Asia region to meet several times a year to expand the strategic dialogue, in response to regional suggestions for more avenues of dialogue and cooperation in meeting security challenges. It promotes strategic thinking at the regional level by disseminating collaboratively developed research, thinking and publications throughout the region.
