Afghan Election Planning Workshop Series

The efficient and successful execution of elections requires long-term, integrated planning. The Afghan Elections Planning Workshops are designed to foster discussion and dialogue among individuals engaged in planning for the Afghan presidential elections in August 2009. The workshops address practical issues concerning political development and the upcoming electoral cycle. The goal of the workshops is to stimulate interest – at the two or three-star level or civilian equivalents – in the Afghan 2009 elections among the international donor community.
