A delegation of seven senior officers from the Saudi Arabia National Guard (SANG) met at the Near East South Asia (NESA) Center for Strategic Studies and National Defense University (NDU) in Washington, D.C. on 20 May 2024 to discuss educational techniques and the structure of U.S. professional military education systems. Professor David Des Roches led the program, where delegates discussed the link between military education and the personnel system, the interaction between education and officer career paths in the U.S. military, the structure of the National Defense University, and the mission and capabilities of the NESA Center. Participants also had a presentation from Devin Hess of the NDU International Student Management Office on NDU International Student Programs.
