On 6 June 2024, the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies (NESA Center) hosted 49 international fellows and faculty from the Air War College. The students were briefed at Fort McNair in Washington, D.C. by NESA Center Associate Professor Dr. Michael Sharnoff on the Security Challenges in the Middle East and on Security Challenges in Asia by NESA Center Assistant Professor Jeffrey Payne, Distinguished Professor of International Relations Dr. Hassan Abbas, and Distinguished Professor Ambassador Ali Jalali. Following lunch, Africa Center for Strategic Studies (Africa Center) Professor Dr. Nathaniel Allen led a discussion on Security Challenges in Africa, and Juliana Rubio, Associate Director of the Americas Program at the Center of Strategic and International Studies, delivered a presentation on Security Challenges in Latin America.
