From 15–27 June 2025, the Professional Military Education (PME) team at the Near East South Asia (NESA) Center for Strategic Studies in Washington, D.C., hosted a two-week, multinational faculty development course, providing regional partners a sampling of best practices in preparing faculty to teach senior military professionals. Participants included military education representatives of the Royal Jordanian National Defense College (RJNDC), recent Pakistani graduates of U.S. Senior PME courses of instruction, and representatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ministry of the National Guard. Alongside NESA Center faculty, the group explored how adult learning and teaching models can be applied to achieve learning outcomes in a variety of methodologies of teaching. The course included strategic war game exercises tied to learning outcomes from the U.S. NDU Center for Applied Strategic Learning (CASL). The two-week program concluded with discussions on curriculum design, sustainment, and accreditation standards. Looking ahead, the NESA Center plans to expand this course offering to additional partners in 2026.
