Subject: “Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s August Decrees”
Purpose:
Iran’s leadership is using the postwar period to rebuild and centralize authority around veteran IRGC and security figures. Iran is consolidating power through its core power centers, the Supreme Leader’s office, the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). Moreover, it is positioning Iran for sustained confrontation with the U.S. through stronger military integration, domestic surveillance and mobilization, and maritime leverage in the Strait of Hormuz (SoH).
