On 23 July 2024, the Near East South Asia (NESA) Center for Strategic Studies, in collaboration with the College of International Security Affairs (CISA), convened a meeting in Washington, D.C., with representatives from the Thailand National Security Council. The session was led by NESA Center Director Ambassador John Desrocher and Distinguished Professor Dr. Hassan Abbas, alongside Dr. Thomas Marks from CISA. The discussions centered around critical topics such as the dynamics of insurgency, the role of religion, and strategies for countering radicalization.
