Algeria in Transition

23 November 2020 – The eighth edition of the NESA Alumni Virtual Interview Series features a very open and candid discussion with Mr. Zine Labidine Ghebouli on the state of the Hirak in Algeria in light of the Covid-19 pandemic and the recent November 2020 constitutional referendum. Mr. Ghebouli also discusses the future prospects for Algeria, its youth, and the Hirak, as well as the lessons learned from the Hirak’s experiences for other like-minded movements in the MENA region. Mr. Ghebouli, originally from Algeria, is currently a postgraduate scholar at the University of Glasgow.
