Diplomacy and Lessons Learned with Min. Wael Al Hamdani

29 October 2020 – In the fifth iteration of the NESA Alumni Virtual Interview Series, Fahad Malaikah hosts Minister Wael Al Hamdani, the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Yemen to the United States. Minister Al Hamdani offers lessons learned from his distinguished diplomatic career to young and aspiring diplomats, with an emphasis on his experiences during his tenure in Washington. The conversation also covers the role of diplomacy in an era where global multilateralism is arguably in crisis, the value that comes with being a NESA alumnus, and what Minister Al Hamdani would like to see from a new U.S. presidential administration, whether from a new Biden administration or a Trump second term, in its policies regarding Yemen.
