Washington Security Forum Highlights Partnerships in a Changing Strategic Environment

On May 14, 2025, the Near East South Asia (NESA) Center for Strategic Studies hosted the Washington Security Forum at the Army & Navy Club in Washington, D.C. The forum, which is the second in this year’s series, brought together senior policymakers, security experts, military officers, and diplomatic officials to examine how shifting U.S. strategic priorities are reshaping international security cooperation.

The discussion, moderated by NESA Center Professor of Practice Brianne Todd, featured keynote remarks from Dhruva Jaishankar of the Observer Research Foundation America and Joe Costa of the Atlantic Council. Speakers explored the challenges and opportunities facing allies and partners as the United States adapts to evolving global demands, emphasizing the importance of burden-sharing, regional collaboration, and innovative approaches to security cooperation.

The forum underscored the NESA Center’s role as a platform for dialogue and professional exchange, fostering greater understanding among international security leaders and strengthening partnerships across its global network.
