Maldives Roundtable at the NESA Center

Maldives roundtable engagement at NESA Center offices in Washington, D.C.

On 28 July 2023, Near East South Asia (NESA) Center for Strategic Studies Acting Director COL David Lamm, USA (Ret.) and NESA Center Academic Dean Dr. Roger Kangas welcomed Ambassador Ghafoor Mohamed, Ambassador of the Maldives to the United States and Zeena Didi, Counsellor at the Embassy of the Maldives to the United States for a conversation on bilateral relations and NESA Center programming. Joining the conversation were Professor Richard Wiersema and Assistant Professor Jeffrey Payne. COL Lamm congratulated the recent opening of the Maldives Embassy in Washington, D.C., and discussed ways to enhance Maldives participation in forthcoming NESA Center efforts.
